Paul Edward Bevers, 78, of Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Louisville.

Born November 5, 1945, in Terre Haute, he was the son of Bob and Betty Sherfick.

Paul graduated from Shoals High School then entered the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War.

Following the military, he went to school for law enforcement and was an investigator with Washington Police Department.

Paul enjoyed woodworking and driving his truck across the country.

Surviving are his son, Thomas Bevers; and step-children, Chuck (Beth) Hembree and Kevin Hembree.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation was chosen and a private family burial will be held at a later date.
