Nickolas James Holt, age 34 of Washington, formally of Shoals, passed away Saturday October 15th, 2016 in Washington. He was born October 19th, 1981 in Daviess County to Terry G. and Vicki (Pendley) Holt. He was employed by G.E. Tree Service in Petersburg, Indiana. He worked in tree service for 20 years and was a tree climber. He is survived by his father, Terry and Rhonda Holt of Loogootee, Mother, Vicki and Eddie Hakes of Shoals, Grandparents, Wayne and Geraldine Pendley of Shoals. Great Grandmother, Emma Merchand of Washington. Three children, Dakota Holt of Shoals, Alyssa Gerber and Lucas Holt of Washington. One Step-son, Ashton Gerber also of Washington. He is also survived by his fiancé Ashley Gerber of Washington, two brothers, Andy Holt of Shoals, Terry Holt of California and one sister, Kelley Holt of Las Vegas. Step brothers, Bertrand Britt, Michael Foster, George Pressley and Jordan Hakes. Step sisters Cherie Pressley, Tiffany Stinson, Taylor Hakes and Adrianna Riggins. Several aunts and uncles survive. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James A. and Maggie Holt. He attended Washington and Shoals Schools. He attended Harvest Community Fellowship in Washington. Funeral Services will be held 1:00pm Friday October, 21st, 2016 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals with Pastor John Moffatt officiating. Burial to follow in the Anderson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 Thursday and until time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family of Nickolas Holt at the funeral home.
