Nancy Ellen Sexton

December 25, 1960 - July 13, 2024

Nancy Ellen Sexton, 63, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at her residence.

Born December 25, 1960, in Washington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Loval and Gladys (Honeycutt) Cundiff.

Nancy attended Shoals High School and worked as a CNA for 13 years.

She married Gary Sexton on March 23, 1978 and he survives.

Nancy was known by many names, wife, mom, little sister, nanny, and goat. The one name she was most proud of was mawmaw. She was so proud of her 13 grandchildren and her love, selflessness, and compassion towards her grandchildren will be remembered indefinitely. Nancy was a passionate euchre player, an excellent baker (if you were lucky enough to try her peanut butter cake, you can confirm this), and loved attending Jug Rox sporting events.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Joshua (Sarah) Sexton, James (Sarah) Sexton, Brittney (Kevin) Fuhrman, and Ethan Sexton; 13 grandchildren, Carly Rader, Ikia Wright, Michael Sexton, Elly Rader, Tristan Burks, Jacey Sexton, Evelyn Fuhrman, Lyla Sexton, Mason McShane, Oliver Fuhrman, Norah McShane, Judd Fuhrman, and Charlotte Sexton; mother-in-law, Minnie Ellen Baker; sister, Trish (Dale) Boyd; brother, Jimmy (Elizabeth) Cundiff; sisters-in-law, Donna Cundiff and Lisa Baker; brother-in-law, Jeff (Nina) Sexton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Wayne Cundiff, Les Cundiff, and Ruby Staggs; sister-in-law, Brenda Bearden; and nieces, Christa Boyd and Amanda Lee.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care with Dustin Staggs officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel, Shoals.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martin County Cancer Patient Services.
