Mildred Jane Warner, 87, passed away on October 8, 2016 at the Loogootee Nursing Center. She was born December 26, 1928 in Cuzco, Dubois County, Indiana to John and Elizabeth (Noble) Kerns. She married Waldo Warner on May 13, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1999.
She was a graduate of Springs Valley High School. She attended the Fairview Community Church.
She was employed at RCA in Bloomington and the shoe factory in French Lick. She was a homemaker and took care of her family, which was her pride and joy.
She is survived by:

A son, Roy and Janet Warner of Loogootee
Daughter-in-law, Phyllis Warner of Shoals
Brother, Amon Kerns, Leigh High Acres, Florida
Sisters, Bonnie Johnson, Shoals, Mary Lou Walters, French Lick and Virginia Smith, Nashville, Tennessee.
Granddaughters, Jessica Warner, Katie Warner and Ariel Hert.
She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ralph and grandson Ray. A sister, Georgia Bird and brothers Riley Kerns and Clarence Kerns.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Darrell Wineinger officiating. Burial will be in the Chrystal Community Cemetery.
