Mary Rose (Pennington) Kidwell, 56, of Loogootee, formerly of Shoals, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Born April 3, 1966, in Washington, Indiana, she was the daughter of Arnold “Ducky” and Dora (Payne) Pennington.

Mary attended Shoals High School. She owned and operated her own greenhouse for over 10 years, M&E Greenhouse, and a lifelong mother, grandmother, sister, and caretaker.  She was a loving and caring wife.  Mary loved being a foster mother, always had a smile on her face, and never met a stranger.

Surviving are her mother, Dora (Fred Qualkenbush) Pennington; children, Amanda (Gary) Campbell, Nicholas (Amber) Kidwell, and Katie (Cameron Wagler) Kidwell; their father, Edward Kidwell; grandchildren, Landon and Lincoln Campbell; siblings, Tracie Pennington-Stuckey, Scott (Amanda) Pennington, Nina (Millard) Anderson, Tammy (John) Crowe, and Jimmy Qualkenbush; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ducky Pennington; grandmother, Thelma Pennington; and uncle Cecil Pennington.

Funeral service will be at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care, Shoals.

Visitation will be from 1 P.M. - 4 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Queen-Lee Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
