Mary A Beyers

Mary Ann Beyers age 78, of Shoals, passed away at 2:28am, Thursday at the Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center in Jasper. She was born August 6, 1939 in Martin County to Knofel and Grace (Salmon) Holt. She was homemaker, a member of the Shoals Nazarene Church, enjoyed reading, working in her flower garden and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Tim (Cheryl) Beyers of Shoals, Jarrod (Brenda) Beyers of Ferdinand; three daughters, Rita (Paul) Mathers of French Lick, Reba (Jeff) Moffitt of West Baden, Grace Nugent of Loogootee; thirteen grandchildren, Michelle Hert, Amanda Mills, Leanna Nugent, Josh Moffitt, Bradley Nugent, Corey Nugent, Matthew Mathers, Jeff Mathers, Sara Durbin, Megan Mathers, Caleb Moffitt, Hattie Moffitt and Dawson Beyers; a special “adopted” granddaughter, Audra Deckard; one sister Wanda Hopkins of Shoals; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Gordon Holt, Bob Holt, Donald Holt and Dale Holt. Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with Rev. Kevin Quinn officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 am until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
