Linda D. Sipes
August 18, 1947 – October 5, 2026

Linda D. (Qualkenbush) Sipes, 79, of Cale, finally got to meet her mother and Savior, on Monday, October 5, 2026, at her residence.

Born August 18, 1947, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Deloris Qualkenbush and raised by Delbert and Mary (Harris) Qualkenbush.

Linda graduated from Shoals High School with the class of 1965.

She married Joseph Sipes, the love of her life, on October 28, 1966, and he survives. They had known each other since childhood

Linda worked at RCA for over 33 years and was a homemaker, caring for her husband, Joseph.

She enjoyed babysitting, going to yard sales and negotiating, collecting Fenton art glass, and spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandson, and family.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 60 years, Joseph; children, Tammy (John) Gore and Dustin Sipes; grandchildren, Corbyn Sipes Zetta Gore (Steven Hammack), and Logan (Katie) Gore; great-grandson, Aldur Hammack; sister, Brenda Hedge; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cremation was chosen per Linda’s wishes. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Noon with a Celebration of Life and pitch-in dinner to follow. Please feel free to bring a dish to share.
