Linda D. (Salmon) Hert, 75, of Shoals, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Sycamore Care Strategies, Loogootee.

Born February 1, 1951, in Washington, she was the daughter of Herschel Jr. and Betty (Stone) Salmon.

Linda married Robert “Bob” Hert on December 22, 1967; and he survives.

She attended Shoals High School.

Linda worked at the Shoals Senior Center for over 15 years.

She enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Robert; children, Robert (Chrissy) Hert Jr., Richard Hert, Scott (Deanna) Hert, and Christopher (Michelle) Hert; grandchildren, Kevin Hert Jr., Jordan (Jessica) Hert, Amy (Dustin) Holt, Cody (Brooke) Hert, Brian (Kelsey) Hert, Brittany (Josh) Hambrick, Ariel (Daniel) Mulinix, Emma Hert, Colton Hert, Makayla Hert, Gordon Dixon, Tesa Hert, and Kennedy Jones Salmon; several great-grandchildren; sister, Debbie Hill; brothers, Kent Salmon and Greg Salmon; special nephew, Gage Salmon; many other nieces and nephews; and an uncle, Tony Stone.

She was preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter, Kyndale Qualkenbush; sisters, Lisa Wininger and Lana Sue Wilkerson; brother-in-law, Mike Hill; and sister-in-law, Mary Salmon.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care with Pastor Tim Diamond officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service hour on Wednesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.
