Keith Bauer

Keith Bauer August 22, 1946 – October 13, 2018 Keith Bauer, 72, of Paoli, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at his residence. Born August 22, 1946, in Shoals, he was the son of Fred and Gladys (Neukam) Bauer. He married Linda Dant on October 15, 1994, in Jasper, IN and she survives. He was a graduate of Shoals High School, Class of 1964. Keith farmed in his early years, and then worked for Orange County Co-Op and White River Co-Op serving many great people. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Dubois. Keith liked to spend his time outdoors, construction projects, woodworking, and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends reminiscing and telling stories. Surviving are his wife, Linda, of Paoli; daughter, Jenny and Casey Dearwester, of Loogootee; son, Josh and Rachel Bauer, of Shoals; step-daughters, Amber and Scott Blakenbaker, and April Carlisle, both of Paoli; grandchildren, Silas Bauer, Kanton Dearwester, and Lillie Bauer; step-grandchild, Savannah Crowder and Audrey Blakenbaker; step-great grandchildren, Aden Crowder, Taylor Ward, and Haillee Ward; sisters, Darlene and Glenn Crim, of Loogootee, Pat and Lary Graves, of Tipton, IN, and Rita and Doug Denson, of Loogootee; brother, Rick and Becky Bauer, of Loogootee; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Roger Bauer. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Dubois. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday at the Queen-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes and from 10:00 A.M. until the service hour at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, Dubois. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shoals High School, Class of 1964.
