Helen Mae (Clifton) Moore age 98, passed away at 8:25pm on Friday February 10, 2017 at the Villages at Oak Ridge in Washington. She was formerly of Shoals and a longtime resident of Washington. She was born in Vigo County on March 22, 1918 to Edward and Mayme (Keane) Shaw. She was married to Lawrence Clifton, Clarence Albright and Herman “Mick” Moore and they preceded her in death. She retired from Service Master and was a Job Coordinator for the Martin, Knox, Pike and Daviess County Experience Work also known as the Green Thumb Program. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Washington. She is survived by a daughter Dorothy Harder of Morgantown, and two sons, Stanley Clifton and Dallas Allbright both of Washington. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Debi Allbright, and sons Donald Clifton, Fred Clifton and Floyd Clifton. Four brothers and a sister also precede her in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday February 16, 2017 at 11:00am at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals with Rev. Ronald Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery in Shoals. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8 and on Thursday from 8:30 until time of the service.
