Gerald L Gammon

Gerald L. Gammon, 72, of Shoals passed away Saturday October 15th, in Bloomington. He was born in Martin County to Roman and Irene (Terrell) Gammon. He married Dana L. Baker on August 29th, 1963 in Campbell, Kentucky and she survives. He was an electrician at the US Gypsum for 20 years and NSWC Crane 27 years. Mr. Gammon was a member of the Natchez Community Church and a US Army Veteran with the 101st Airborne Paratroopers. Mr. Gammon is survived by: One daughter, April (David) Sutton of Loogootee One son, Gerald Gammon Jr. and Courtney Sanders of Shoals Four Grandchildren, Jessica (Cody) Shinn, Ashley O’Connor, Emily Sutton and Samantha Gammon. One Great Grandson, his Special Fishing Buddy, Gabe Shinn. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lester and Robert Gammon and two sisters, Wilma Stroud and Margaret Campbell. He enjoyed spending time with his family more than anything else, especially his buddy Gabriel. He also loved hunting and fishing with his son Gerald Jr, horseback riding, camping, four-wheeler riding, gardening and cutting his own firewood. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, October, 19th, at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals with Bro. Wayne Pendley officiating. Burial will follow in the Port Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8PM at the Funeral Home.
