With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Vonnie (Lynch) Emmick, Williams Indiana, who passed away peacefully on June 29th, 2025 at the age of 72. Vonnie spent her whole life in Williams, dedicating many years as a bus driver for North Lawrence Community Schools. She ultimately decided to retire in 2014 when she was given the beautiful opportunity to help raise her first grandchild.
Vonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Lucille Lynch and her brother Robert Lynch. She is survived by her husband, Mike Emmick, her son, James Coulter and wife Blaire, her sister, Millie Tidd, her brother, Dan Lynch and her two grandchildren that she adored, Kennedy and Leo Coulter.
Vonnie's favorite role in life was raising her son, Jimmy. There was nothing more important to her than that of being his mother. She later was blessed with two grandchildren that called her Nanny. She and her husband Mike devoted the last eleven years to both Kennedy and Leo, making sure they always knew how loved they were by the two of them. Family meant everything to her. She married her loving husband, Mike Emmick on July 11th, 2002, where they were married for almost 23 years.
Vonnie was known to devote all her time to family, as well as all kinds of animals. She specifically loved her German Sheppard, Sisco. She will be remembered most for her giving heart, her unwavering love for family and her fun spirit.
To honor Vonnie's wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of a celebration of life, Vonnie wanted friends and loved ones to honor her beautiful life by spending time with animals.
The Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care has been entrusted with the arrangements.
