Donald B. “Duckwood” Gammon, 61, of Mitchell, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at his residence.

Born March 11, 1963, in Bedford, he was the son of Robert Lee and Sue Jane (Baker) Gammon.

Donald graduated from Shoals High School with the class of 1981 and was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He loved to build model military airplanes.

Surviving are his beloved dog, Bella; one sister, Renaudia White and her husband Skip who was Donald’s caretaker and friend; one brother, Robert Gammon Jr.; one niece, Michelle Bush; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at the Spring Hill Cemetery, with Skip White officiating.

Pallbearers will be Skip White, Adam Bush, Pam Gammon, Larry Atkins, Kyle Bundy, and Gerald Gammon.
