Darlene Lynne Benge, 61, of Shoals, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Northwood Retirement Society.

Born November 6, 1962 in Washington, she was the daughter of Homer and Delores (Kinnick) Benge.

Darlene was a graduate of Shoals High School and earned an Associates Degree in Nursing from Vincennes University; she was a homemaker and home health nurse.

She was a member of the Shoals Holiness Church.

Darlene loved to garden, spend time with her grandchildren, and reading.

Surviving are her children, Desiree (Jonathan) Lawburgh, Tabitha Porter, and Michael Benge; grandchildren, Naomi Holt and Ivory Porter; siblings, Wayne (Cynthia) Benge, Mark (Cindy) Benge, Gregory (Patricia) Benge, and Joseph (Jody) Benge; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and niece, Alora Benge.

Private family and friends service will be held at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care. Burial will be in Anderson Cemetery at a later date.
