Carla Jane (Martin) Montgomery, 79, of Shoals, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, at her residence.

Born June 28, 1947, in South Point, Ohio, she was the daughter of Carl and Enid (McKee) Martin.

She graduated from South Point High School and later attended Kentucky Mountain Bible Institute.

Carla married Stanley D. Montgomery on July 19, 1969; and he preceded her in death on March 14, 2023.

She was a homemaker.

Carla attended Weisbach Community Church.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Gerald (Exzelia) Montgomery, Diana (Kenneth) White, Brenda (Earl) Tedrow, Jewell (Steve) Atchley, Vaughn (Pauletta) Montgomery, Marold (Judith) Montgomery, Bryan (Cindy) Montgomery, Angela (Edward) Cook, and Reuben Montgomery; 33 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; son, Rodney Montgomery; daughter-in-law, Beth Montgomery; grandchildren, Austin, Ariana, Trenton, and Jackson; and one brother, Tim Martin.

Private graveside services will be held for the immediate family.
