Carl Jeffrey Sanders

Carl Jeffrey Sanders, age 70, of Shoals, passed away at his residence on August 30, 2018. He was born September 4, 1947 in Shoals to Carl Franklin and Bessie Mae (Gilbert) Sanders. He graduated Shoals High School and Indiana State University. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Shoals American Legion and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Survivors include four sisters, Brenda Holzworth of Crothersville, Jane Payne of Shoals, Susan Warren of Loogootee and Julinda Adams of Burns City; two brothers, Charles Sanders of Washington and Tim Sanders of Shoals and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 at the Queen-Lee Chapel with Pastor Matt Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday, September 4th at the funeral home. The Queen-Lee Chapel of the Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes is in charge of the arrangements.
