Betty Lake-Foster, 91, of Shoals, passed away surrounded by her family, on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Sycamore Care Strategies, Loogootee.
Born August 13, 1933, in Lower Twin Creek, Stout, Ohio, she was the daughter of Thomas and Flossie (Cook) Howe.
She married George Foster in 1997 in Greenup, Kentucky; and he survives.
Betty was a former owner of the Gold Club in Houston, Texas and worked at the Shoals VFW.
She enjoyed reading, playing the organ, and singing.
Betty was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #9395, American Legion Post #61, and Shoals Eagles #2442
Surviving are her husband, George; 2 sons, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Lake and Michael (Julie) Lake; Seven Grandchildren; Ten great-grandchildren; Five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children Thomas Frances Lake, son, James Lake; one brother in infancy; three sisters, Thelma White, Shirley Hamilton, and Renee Cantrell.
Funeral service will be at 3 P.M. on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Queen-Lee Chapel of George Funeral Care. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until the service hour on Monday, at the Queen-Lee Chapel in Shoals.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shoals Public Library.
